I love this new lens...

Description: Went walking around the college campus this morning, and found some lovely critters. I see so many garden orb weavers this time of year.

Love being outside. Except when football is on TV, of course.

Just curious. Have you, or anybody, ever known these spiders to bite humans?? The reason I ask is that I will have anywhere from 3 to 10 of these around my house each evening. I don't kill critters other than brown recluses. Therefore, I pick these guys up all the time and transfer them away from the house. They get very spastic and bounce around in my hands, but have never bit me, or attempted to bite me as far as I know. However, I have a friend who says these guys bite. I have probably handled 100 of these without a bite. What is everyone's thought?

On a side note, throwing recluses into the webs of these guys is enjoyable. The recluse loses everytime.

I personally have never known them to bite, but then again
I don't really make a habit out of holding them.

I would think that even if they did bite, it would be
much like a mosquito bite, and nothing too serious.

I will miss them when these spiders disappear until next year.
