 the true redtails (surinams , guyana, brazilian etc) get longer than the common boas..not by that much but they do get bigger from my experience...the commons get from 6 to 8 feet while the tru red tails can get as big as 12 to even 14 feet (14 feet being a very rare sight) but usually 10 to 12 feet.. hope this helps
