OMG i have 1 loks ecaclty like that it's just a baby tho...have to isolate it so it can get fatter and put back into my tank atm all the ohter ciclid would take the food and eh would be to scared but urs have a very nice color algae flakes bring out teh color of cichlids very well that wta i feed my fish

That's not really a great pic of him either. Usually, he has no dark tint towards his head. From what I've seen, he can get a bit darker as he gets agressive towards the other fish.

I got them from a lady that worked at a pet store. She had been feeding them shrimp pellets. They really like them, but the smaller ciclid has a hard time eating them. I have recently started feeding them standard tetramin flakes. This will not be a permanent thing, but it is helping the smaller one to gain size since it can snatch more food at feeding time, rather than grab one big pellet and choke it down while the other one eats 3 or 4.
