Obiah male Haitian Brown

Description: This is my oldest male Hatian Brown Tarantula in his mating colours approx 1 month after final molt. He will not molt again and will be dead approx 7 months after picture taken, so he only has a few months left. Very fussy eater sometimes not eating for many months on end. Typical colouring of male. You cannot see Tibial Spurs in this shot which is the best way to identify males at this stage of development. Approximately 20 cms long (legs stretched tip to tip)

I love his colouring, it's totally natural too, no image editing.

It's now 3 months after this pic was taken and he has lost a lot of colour and also lost weight. He is losing hair too and not eating too well. I am tempted to put him in with my favourite female to see if I can raise some young ... Just because the colours are so vivid. What do you think ??
