Red belly??

Description: Can someone please confirm what this snake is? I caught him in my front yard. He has very red/pinkish belly, which leads me to believe that it is a redbelly snake. However, I thought redbellies were generally black on top, rather than the red/rust color that this one is.

All of the red bellies from the area I live are rusty red or orange dorsally, so it's not that uncommon. I would say you have a red belly.
