Please help indentify

Description: The lighting is not real good. It was near dusk when I took the picture, but maybe somebody can help me identify this little snake. Caught him in my backyard in Central Arkansas. Hard to tell from the pic, but he has real light stripes running the full length of his body. Kinda a light brown, yellowish color stripes. Garter maybe?? Somebody help.
