I wanted to be a Herpetologist in fifth grade but popularity can do strange things to a kid.

Second pic i have ever seen of a speckled racer and it's even better thann the first. very beautiful. I also wanted to comment on your name, one of my snakes is named apophis I tried naming all my snakes after snake related gods that are from their continents of origin(except my ijcp who was named in the middle of a movie). well great looking snakes and great username! Rating: 5/5

Thank you both for your kind words! =)
Quey, great way to name your snakes! to be honest mythological gods isn't something that particularly holds my interest, but i stumbled upon the name apophis in some book, and thought it sounded cool.

Hey snakemike117!
thanx for the kind words! IMO speckled racers aren't difficult to keep, but they are quick as greased lightning, and some can be pretty aggro! however, as you can see, i can handle mine with no problems! I was told by the former owner that mine would only eat live pinkie mice, when left in its enclosure overnight, but mine actually eats F/T pinkies right from the forceps! I hope yoy will be able to find one, because they are not kept very often, at least here in europe... Good luck!
