CALIFORNIA KINGSNAKE

Description: my cali. kingsnake is around 2 feet now. I have no idea how old it is considering this is my 1st snake and I bought it from PetLand. I am going to post pictures of my cage. Right now im my cage I am using sand, I have a large water bowl, a vine, 2 big rocks, and a fake tree/vine. It sleeps often between the rocks or behind the tree.

I was wondering if there is anything else I could get to make him happy?

And I have had him for a little over a month and not once has he got into his water on his own. I have put him in about once a day and he goes right back out. What is around????????

Nice looking snake. I have three Cal Kings. As for cage setup, consider getting some type of hide box. This will greatly increase your snakes' comfort level. These snake don't normally get into water, so if they crawl out of the bowl, that's cool. There are several inexpensive reference books concerning Cal Kings specifically and Kingsnakes generally. If you haven't already, pick up a couple of these. They will let you know a lot of info on you new pet. Good luck and post back if you have other questions. Rating: 5/5
