Location: I live in central Florida by natural springs, tall oaks & hickory amid gently rolling hills once lush with citrus, farms and abundant wildlife. Mostly all gone now, native wildlife once prolific are now 'road kill' as DEVELOPERS dig in.

Thanks for the compliment! This little fellow is definitely mostly aquatic. He has a nice large rock to climb with a UV 15Watt grow-lite that I leave on 24/7. He enjoys "sunbathing" for a couple of hours a day, and sometimes not at all. I've raised him from a hatchling, he'll be 3years old in March 2007. He's hand fed a varied diet and is very spoiled. I don't find him aggressive at all. With a little time and patience, you can train your turtle to come to the surface when you call his name and eat his favorite snack (diced catfish) from your hand. I don't "pet" him, I try to let him think he's in charge of his space. He's a great pet with a lot more personality then some give this species credit for.
