It is a member of genus Parasphendale, species either agrionina or affinis. I don't know how to distinguish between the two species but I'm sure of the genus. It looks about ready to molt, too, so it will likely be an adult soon. Commonly known as the African Banded Mantis or Bud Wing Ground Mantis

I have a collection of mostly kingsnakes and milksnakes over 30 in all and a collection of tarantulas also over 30 in all!

hi! cool pic!!! i was wondering??? I found a couple small i guess like two inch mandids!put them in seperate containers for now and one molted already.but their green and what i figure as a comon species here in south jersey.but are these hard to keep??? or is it wiser to order an asian giant or something as a beginner in keeping this insect????
