I paid $20 for him, I was trying to breed them but a heater malfunction killed them.

Actually that is a pretty good price for a N.Leleupi for his size and what type of fish he is, I would never pay that much for many other fish but these guys go for that much.

3-$5?? You cant even order them through a breeder for that.
The cheapest I have seen them was $10 and they were not the quality they should be, maybe they are easier to come by around you but they ar every hard to get here.

transcriptus i would got for like from 4-10 bucks why do u want to know??thinking about getting some . there bad i would get some but my but my calvus's and tropheus's would mess with them too much my other fish dont mess with anything. Matt Rating: 3/5

Well I am not sure how high quality these fish are I am betting they are run of the mill cichlids.
I have 4 spawning pair of transcriptus and many spawns off of them, I bought the 4 pair for $80, yes $10 each and I sell the offspring for $9 each.
