hey... let me point out, that Im not saying this to upset you or...
but this male is definitely not an ambanja, since he has an all white casque, he can only be a tamatave...
is he a wc or cb?

Hi. Nice Chameleon. Your panther has red which shows signs of an Ambaja, however, it has white which shows signs of Maroansetra or Nosy Boraha. My best guess is a little town just north of Fenoarivo. He is probably an Ambaja cross.

2 cham hunter: I can see that youre refering to Bill Loves cham collage, unfortunately that specific pic is misleading, because its over-exposed. panthers from that area and on ille ste marie are grey and not white.
I know that rock-n-reptiles once had a tama-male looking a lot like this one.

The photo is a little misleading. The white that you see is realy a very lite blue that is darker when he's relaxed.Beleave it or not but he's 100% AMBANJA

Hi. Sorry for the confusion. Bebeblu has Nosy Borahas that are all white when fired up. I have seen white/red, no other colors, panthers before and they are usually a cross between an Ambaja and something. The Kammers have an Ambaja hybrid that looks like Casper. His name is Ricky.

Surely anyone who admires chameleons knows that our fascination with subspecies and localities can get really crazy, but lots and lots of fun. So many interesting speculations. I want somebody to point me to Bill Love's thing (collage?) and then something separate which refutes the all-white definition. I can't WAIT to dig into this! Thanks Panthaman for giving us something to chew on, and yeah I guess we can sound pretty snotty about our opinions sometimes, huh? Makes me wish I had a clue...

An all white chameleon kind of defeats the purpose of what is so cool about chameleons--their colors. Casper looks like a bad arse display animal but that is not an Ambanja for sure, and without a doubt he is a hybrid. Not too much into the hybrids but to each his own.

Are you 100% sure that it's an Ambaja? Did the dealer say it was? Because you never know. I still think it has Nosy Boraha in it but I could be wrong. On the Kammers website they state that Ricky is an Ambaja red x Ambaja blue. Hard to believe. I wish my Ambaja had white in him. Maybe its a Melanine problem or a genetic defect. By the way, go to Bluechameleonventures and you'll find the colage. Its under tours and education on Kingsnake.
