Hello xiaohe,
Yes Buddy can talk. He says "Hey Buddy", and "Good Bird". He also whistles the Andy Griffith Song, and wolf whistles. And he mimics the phone/microwave, and bobs his head on command!

He's a cutey!
Thanks for the comment :D

Hello again lol,
I bought Buddy for about $75.00 or $80.00 Canadian dollars.

Which is an excellent price. I bought him from a birdbreeder and he was handfed!

So, you saw a normal grey cockatiel at your birdshop, eh? SGD90 is approximately how much a cockatiel would be in Canadian when converted into the Canadian dollar.

I still disagree with you buying any more birds at all! Your cockatoo should be your first priority.

If your thinking about a cockatiel, wait a couple months. And if you do buy anymore parrots buy a handfed/spoonfed parrot(Therefore, the parrot will already be tame)

Lories/Lorikieets are absoluetly gorgeous birds!!!!!!! But, they have some pretty killer liquid poop! Almost all(if all) parrots have the ability to mimic human sounds, including the lorikeet. But, no parrot is guaranteed to talk.Even if its a talking species such as a cockatoo, macaw, or african grey.
A lorikeet in Canada would be 655.813 SGD+

For a second time, yes my cockatiel in SGD's was also around SGD90.

Handfed/Spoonfed is a method of rasing a baby bird. Instead of a motehr bird rasising her babies, its a human raising the babies handfeeding them with a syringe or an odd shaped spoon.

Any species can be handfed or spoonfed.

Remember if you buy anotehr parrot it may bond to your cockatoo, and your cockatoo may bond to it. Therefore, neitehr of them will pay attention to you! Therefore its recommended by experts if your going to get anotehr parrot spend at least six months of quality time with your parrot, and hopefully he won't forget you when you buy another parrot.

Species that mimic well are amazons, cockatoos, conures, and macaws, and african grey.

Thats awseome that your going to bring your bird to a vet!

Kaytee Exaxt is a very good brand, but your cockatoo may not recognize it as food. Try adding it to his normal food, and you can convert him.

ALSO, today I recieved a personal message from a birdboarder.

This is what she said;
"Your friend posted pictures and a question or two in the photo section, but no posts on the board. The bird she is referring to is a sulfer-crested cockatoo, and you know how much I love those babies. I would love to help her out with advise, etc. if you can ask her to please either post on the board or personal message me!
Thanks"

So, I recommend you post on Birdboard and personal message ElwoodBlue.

Hello,
I know once you buy your first parrot it becomes addictive to buy another and another.

You've heard what I've had to say, but if your going to buy another parrot theirs nothing I can say or do to stop you...sighhhh

That would be awseome if you could no pm me, but pm ElwoodBlue at BirdBoard, as she is the owner of a sulfur crested cockatoo and she is willing to help you.

In my country, conures are cheaper than cockatoos, african greys, amazons, macaws, many lorikeet species, etc.

The food you bought is very good. But, the thing is your cockatoo may not recognize it as food. So, I'm saying you'll ptobably need to convert him from his other food to the new food.

Pm ElwoodBlue, and ask her about converting your cockatoo's food.

Hello,
Follow this link to Login into Birdboard

http://www.birdboard.com/bbs/login.php

Then go and PM ELwoodblue with your cockatoo questions.

Now for your next questions, yes I do no the answers, but I am not going to tell you.

Your going to have to research for yourself. Something you should have done when buying your cockatoo.
