can you handle him? what kind of question is that?

unless that thing is venomoid only someone with a large amount of experiece and some brass cojones would want to handle a cobra of any kind. even then it would only be if it was absolutely necessary, not like our pythons.

She is a venomoid. I do handle her as I am just lucky she is a good cobra. Kaja is such a nice girl and has never tried to bite. THey are so fragil, ...cobras...very fragile. I handle her with much love and care. gentley.....she still keeps her gaurd and stares me down. she watches EVERYTHING I do as cobras do. She's much respected and lovely.
thanks Kathy P.

Is this a beginner's snake? I just got a ball python today and that is the only snake I have ever had. Are they hard to take care of? What kind of snake do you suggest if this is not a good choice?

I personally think The "Ball Python", besides the corn or milk snake, is the best snake to start with. Definitley not a cobra of any kind. If the cobra is a venomoid then I think that's better but they are fragile and do wish to strike and it's good to keep them thinking they are full of poison :) I always act like I'm scared out of my mind when our other cobra, Rommel strikes. (venomoid) I jump back and freeze and it satisfies him for the day. kathyp

Im sorry but thats an ugly snake. Not just that one, but cobras in general. Even rattlesnakes have a semi-neat face, with the heavy pits. It just looks like a mucky brown nasty snake. Sorry

Thanks for answering my question! I guess this would not be a good choice then, especially since is bites and if it ever got out of the cage, well, let's just say my sister (a cat) would be doomed.

"Tormato"... no problem. I thought it was cute how you were flat-out honest. At least you weren't saying stupid things like I've seen on other forums. Kaja is indeed mostly brown colors. I know what you mean though because that's how I feel about centepedes. yeeeghuuuuuu. kathy P.
