i really don't know what this snake is!!!! if any one can tell me what it is and what it eats, you may be the one to save this animal. all i know is that it isn't a smooth green.
this could verywell be a boom!! watch out. if it has pits at the tip of its nose/face i would not hold this snake at all. if you really wanna see a better pic. just go to www.google.com and do an image search for boomslang. the very 1st. pic looks very close to what you have in your hands never the less holding something that looks that close to the 10th. deadliest snake in the world is not a smart move. you know the fastest route to the hospital right. good luck.

it's a whip snake. compare it with this image. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/smallan/Amazon/asgs14.jpg you'll notice the color difference of course but you'll also notice the same eye's skin texture and facial features. it's poisonous so please for ur safety PUT IT DOWN!

I think it's a smooth green snake not a rough green snake. The scales on that snake are smooth not keeled.

This picture is very hard to make out small details but this definitely looks like a boomslang to me, the pronounced head on such a slender snake is what I noticed, could be wrong. But if it is and it bites you, you will probably die or lose the limb he bit at best. Have him checked out by a professional herpetologist and do not trust the opinions of keepers based on a single picture
