If you feed live and follow with dead right away that usually does the trick. When I got my bullsnake he had been eatin live for years and I switched him in one feeding. I like the name of the pic, LOL!!

As I mentioned in another post I have a baby burm that I'm trying to switch to pre-killed but it won't. It will only eat live. Is that a common problem with burmese? And Have you ever had any close calls?

Beautiful snake! I have a Ball that won't eat pre killed either..but she sure loves her small rats..she eats 3 a month (she is almost 2 years)..and the title killing easter..lol.

sorry i haven't answered any of your comments but i have been sitting in jail for the last 3 months. she has switched over to fresh killed rabbits since. but i still feed her a live once and awhile to keep her hunting skills up to par!!!

hey guru, eat any hamburgers lately, how about chicken, or have you eaten any bacon, what about fish or anything else that at some point was breathing. fact is everything in this world lives off of something else in someway. Any kid who watched lion king knows this. Now I agree that frozen thawed is safer for the snake but dying is dying and it aint fun for anything. Some animals won't eat that way simply because it is not natural too them. So next time you feel like trying to make someone cry for the lost bunnies of the world try your luck with some kindergartners on easter while they hunt the unborn chickens that a rabbit layed.
