Why would someone even have a snake hook if they were just going to stab the snake with it? Makes no sence. I think how the body is curved and shaddow makes it look like the hook is going through the snake.

if the snake was alive the weight of it would not alow him to hold it like that zoom in on the pic the hook is definatly through its neck

Actually, the animal would be the same weight, unless decay has gone into full force and being the animal (If dead) is experiencing rigor mortis so that's obvious reason that the animal hasn't gone into full decay yet thus losing little weight.
The animal is perfectly position on the hook to assume that it is alive, except maybe the fact it is sideways on the hook..

The c.atrox is alive. I just blew the pic up as big as i could get it on my computer and the hook goes under the snake. The snake is so thick that it covers the very end of the hook with its body.

This is a BS picture I have talk about it before. I do computer imaging and digital photograph. I have broke this picture down and it is a FAKE! I created a neon green and yellow pigmy rattle snake that is 4ft. Come on do you think that that snake can be held up by maybe 6in?
