Definitely an Eastern Hognose! Very beautiful specimen at that! I have seen many Easterns displaying such a brilliant coloration. All the behavior you indicated as well also points to this species! Doorgunner, nice display of ingnorance! Keep it up!

THAT IS A HOGNOSE SNAKE WHAT GREAT COLOR JUST SHOWING ONE OF HIS BLUFFS UNITL HE TURNS OVER AND PLAYS DEAD ANOTHER BLUFF OF THIS SNAKE THIS SNAKE WOULD HAVE MADE A GREAT BREEDER SNAKE BECAUSE OF THE COLOR MORPH IT IS
