Just a look on my new inside of my ackie cage. For those being afraid the monitor might be dead - no he certainly is not

Hy Sean,

the lights on the left and on the right are Namiba Sun and Heat Spots. The one in the middle is a daylight "Wendelröhre". I am very sorry but I have no idea if their is an english word for it. Google for "Bio-light" or "Bio-Licht".

Nakor

Hy Sean,

I used colored sand on the wall. After working with the tile adhesive I used Epoxydharz (I am sorry, but I don't know an english expression for that word; maybe ask someone at the message board). Epoxydharz is often used for sealing boats and swimming pools. After using that stuff the wall is absolutly water resistend and hard like stone. I've seen guys putting a backwall like mine into a aquarium.
Another point is that the Epoxydharz is like clue and makes the sand stick on the wall.
Some say you don't need Epoxydharz when you are building the backwall for a desert tank. It is up to you.

Best regards,

Nakor
