Funny, I eat bull frogs... Fried or Barbecued.
In my country they are pestiferous and illegal to keep.

The way I get him to eat the Ham is tie it to a fishing pole. I dangle the ham in front of him and flop it around. Then he gobbles it down. YUMMY!!!!

The reason I started feeding him ham is to save the fish in my pond. They were dissappearing until I started to swing ham from heaven. Now he has no room for fish in his belly. I have even feed him meatloaf! he loves all kinds of meat like a fat kid loves cake !!!

I've never seen anything that looks like that, because healthy bull frogs are not that fat.

Switch to crickets, you can feed those by hand too and they are healthier, less fattening. Just dust once in a while with suplements...

Another thing... They will eat anything that moves with enthusiasm, doesn't mean that they love it.

Crickets by hand !!! I dont think you understand. This frog is the size of a grapefruit! He is not a tame frog either. He appeared one day at my goldfish pond in my backyard. He was the size of a quarter. A year later he is a MONSTER FROG!!! He is free to leave at anytime he is not a captive. He is just one honken big HAM EATTING FROG !!!

When I say by hand I mean with a pair of hemostats or something like that.
If crickets are too small try feeding it feeder fish by hand, large worms, just about anything but ham. Ham is fatty, and often soaked in nitrates to give it a better shelf life. Humans shouldn't be eating it, why have a frog eat it? It doesn't know any better, it just wants food.

I wasn't saying you were keeping it captive, I was saying if you are going ot be feeding it so it doesn't eat your fish you should feed it correctly and supplement it's food.

If God wanted us to be vegatarians then why did he make meat?

Eat me.... no ... However I have mentioned that I would like for him to eat one of my wifes evil pugs! He is a Bullfrog. But I do not believe he is very common. He is carnivious!!!

lol no pugs are great dogs. Havent you seen the movie Milo and Otis. Keep your wifes pugs away from that frogs mouth.

Serpentsam, to clear things up I meant humans shouldn't be eating nitrate soaked food, not to be vegetarians. High fat diets are not the healthiest things for bull frogs. And in my oppinion there is no "God", so nothing was made by him specially for us.
