Found on decomposing wood on ground behind my home in Atlanta, GA area
approx 1/2" diameter
Greenish yellow abdomin, red legs with black strips. Anyone know what it is?
GORGEOUS spider!! WOW! Id have to guess its some type of Araneus...Orb weaver. They come in SOOO many color variations as well as shapes! Theyre fun critters!

Looks to me like a shamrock spider (A. Trifolium), but with slightly different coloring than a standard one. She's pretty!

MMaguschak, please check out the spider I have posted on here - titled 'interesting spider'. Your spider looks alot like mine. Your spider's abdomen is much larger, and the tiger stripes are more prominent on my spiders legs. But the overall coloring is very close. Do you think these are the same kind of spider? Someone posted that mine was an argiope spider. What do you think?
