you shouldn't feed your snake in it's cage! it sets up the thought process that when you reach in food is coming. please don't! you will get biten sooner or later. if you have any questions e-mail me.... bennettetn@yahoo.com

I always feed my snakes in the cage. The only thing I make sure I do is handle them on a daily basis. I'd say I feed them 1 out of 6 times the cage is open and they've never struck at me. I really think it's getting the snakes used to the open cage probably won't mean food, but then again, all my snakes are on the passive side. Just my 2cents.

Feeding out of cage brings more problems than feeding in. If you feed out of cage, it might think everytime you go to get it out it is going out for food. Ever tried transporting a larger retic or burm when it is done eating???? Not fun.....
