Keywords: rack mdf melamine heat rope foil tape

This is my first attempt at a rack system. It is constructed of melamine (white MDF). It holds 30 shoebox size Rubbermaids. Heated by the new heat rope from BigAppleHerp.com. Also temperature is controlled by a BigApple 1000w thermostat. Have a dual probe thermometer on it as well to check temp on top and bottom racks of cage. I use it for baby ball pythons, chondros and leos.

Very well. Keeps the temperature constant at temp I set between 2 and 3 degrees. I have found that it naturally cools off at night by about 5 degrees when I turn the lights off.

Great work! Nice Burm off the side. How old and how long? Is that a 55G tank?

Yeah thats my albino burmese burm, got her fror Regal about 2 years ago. She's about 7 feet now, I don't powerfeed her. The 55 gallon is just a temporary place for her while I build a new tank capable of supporting such a large animal. I'm planning on using 2x4 studs 16 inches apart like regular construction on houses, making a frame of about 10 feet long, 4 feet deep and 6 feet high. I'll just slap some dryall for the outside and make it look like an addition on to my wall, the finish work will be the tough part.
