Hey,

To tell the sex of your python you would have to wait till its a bit bigger then get it probed or "popped" by an experienced herper or reptile vet. Also, is that crushed walnut shells or sand i see you using as a substrate? Ball pythons require at least 60% humidity to keep healthy and shedding properly, and some ball pythons like to climb on branches and some dont. It depends on your snake, also, i would highly reccomend you bleach any branches that you bring in from outside and plan on using it for your snake.

Thanks,
Ben

Actualy, you can tell if it is a male or a female at this size. I popped pythons at only a week of age...

He is in sand but it is hard to tell but I do have the humidity at 60% and I put some things to climb on but he did not even go by them so I took them out

I would take this animal out of the sand, it can give infections of the cloaca and infections of the belly scales. The best to put it on is newspaper, but bark chips will do also.
Popping is a good suggestion, probing is also posible at this age but requires some expertise.
