Can you believe it? I found this Ball Python, with it's cage, in the dumpster at my apartment complex. I have no idea who left it there, I'm not sure if they live here or not. It was very cold and the tank was filthy, with feces and shed skin all over it. When I warmed him up he drank water from the bowl and now he is resting under the light. Whoever did this is a heartless jerk. They could have taken it to ANY pet store, rather than trashing it like a piece of garbage. His name is Jorge. View our other pictures! We have a variety!

Thanks for the nice comments! You guys are right, Jorge is eating very well and having healthy sheds. He doesn't mind being held at all! I don't know why anyone would throw away such a nice snake.

maybe the previous owners parents didnt like the snake n didnt know where to go to sell it so they threw it out? Thats what my parents are telling me to do but theres NO WAY im EVER going to toss out ANY of my beloved pets!

Thanks,
Ben

Yeah, thats the problem, people may be smart enough to go and buy a snake but not smart enough to try to find it a new home. That is what Iwould really fear if I would to breed and sell snakes. I can't stand stupid people lol.

He has become quite the feisty snake, enjoying large rats and striking at will... I hope he wasn't abandoned because someone feared him. Purchasing a snake voids any fear you have.

Great save! Perhaps the snake was abandoned by the former tenants of an apartment there, and thrown out by the cleaning crew. I have seen this on more than one ocassion.
I can't count the number of times I have been called to pick up snakes, and other animals, in abandoned homes, apartments and after drug raids.
Anyhow, good save.
