everytime i see you lizard i have to stop and look at it im sure iv posted in your pics the most but i cant help it and that little one is so cute if you dont mind me asking , where did they get it???

Sobek is a BT/WT cross and the baby is my friends baby BT (just got him 3 days ago. We are not sure on the origins, but hes anly about 3 weeks old. Sobek is 22 months old and 6ft, 24.5lbs. The little guy eats alot of crickets,lobster roaches, pinkies, hoppers, etc. Sobek eats hissing roaches, jumbo mice, week old ckicken peeps (5-9 ounces), and large rats 9-12 ounces). The little guy eats every day, and Sobek eats a large rat once every 4-6 or so days with as many hissers as she can eat in between. I recently started feeding her rats because I know monitors prefer smaller food sources over larger ones (most times).

UV lighting with a monitor is useless, besides why spend the money on that when you will need alot of food and big cages. UV lighting only travels 3-6 inches at the most from bulbs you buy, and monitors get all the D3 they need from their food and then some (in animal fat), another reason yet to feed whole animal foods (they are almost perfect nutrition sources in a convenient package, thaw and feed).
