I would say male from how the bottom curves up to the tail another way to tell in a RES is the longer claws usually are male shorter claws are female

the longer, thicker tail indicates a male. If it has an indentation on the plastron, that would also tell you that it is male.

It depends. Most males tend to have long claws and wider tales. It looks like a male though.

word of advice, try not to hold ur turtles upside-down often, there heart slow down or even stop when they're like that.
Really stress them out.
