That looks Identical to the baby Red Racers(Coachwhip snakes)we have here in southern California. But since they, nor the black racers go down that far into Texas, I would imagine it to be a baby Western Coachwhip.

definitely a racer of some sort. Looks similar to the one I have now, and I haven't a clue what type he is.

This is definately a baby Western Coachwhip. It will probably have two rows of black spots on it's belly. (I hope so anyways, lol.) Cool snake!!!
