This is my dear green anole, Leon. He died at the age of 6 about a month ago. He was my very first reptile to be kept by myself. He was very fun to watch, feed, and take care of. He was green most of the time, and he was absolutely the largest green anole I've ever seen. Few years ago, I chose him as my anole from Petco, since he looked healthier than others. He was only about 5 or 6 in. long. He grew so fast that I found shedded skins all over the substrate floor every week. It was insane!! He grew up to be as long as 8 in. He also mated many times, resulting in many eggs and several hatchlings. But as he reached the end of his life, he began to refuse all sorts of food I provided for him. He didn't move very much, closed his eyes most of the time, and generally, looked very tired. I then realized how ancient he's looking compared to others. This went on for more than a month, until one morning, I found him dead on substrate floor, looking as though he's sleeping.

Aww... He reminds of an Anole I had before.. My very first reptile ever, his name was "Link". Animals never leave our sides, even after death. Your story is very touching. Take Care.
