Doesn't this picture remind you of the balcony scene after Romeo and Juliet first met? :-) In reality Guava is a gentleman but I'm not sure of Kiwi's sex.
This is so CUTE. I hadn't thought of building a cave for my turtle. I've been afraid that he will get stuck and/or drown. Not an issue?

As long as the cave is big enough for your turtle, then it won't get stuck and drown. Caves offer these creatures a place to hide. When startled, one of my turtles sometimes goes straight for the cave. They're cute, aren't they?

I used 2 plastic boxes (no lids). Cut out an opening on one side, inverted them, and stacked one on top of the other, weighed down by a rock.
One of my turtles goes to the lower cave a lot, to avoid hot pursuit of the other turtle. :P
