Very cool. I love those tortises. How long have you had her? Is she really expensive to feed?

Maggie is actually Mr. Maggie-he surprised us!
If you don't have a lawn to mow to feed a sulcatta, I can imagine it would get expensive to give the correct diet because you would have to special order most of their food. They also eat a lot of cactus, so if you aren't in a state that has that,that's another consideration.Check out some prices online for tortoise food before deciding!IF you are in the southwest, you may find it easier to feed them though.

A run down dirty pet store has one of these tortises. They just let him wander around freely and only feed him lettuce :( Actually, a lot of their animals suffer there.

try spca in your area, maybe even animal rights and stuff. pet stores can get shut down pretty easily.
