Cool crab...What are crabs like as pets? Do they pinch very hard?

Thanks. :-) Ya know, I've never picked him up! We brought him home from my daughter's classroom in a little cup, and I let him crawl right into the tank. He hides whenever I do water changes. He's *very* shy, which is why it's so hard for me to get a pic of him.

They don't pinch hard at all, and they are in my opinion great pets, yet i have not gotten one yet because i'm waiting to free up an aquarium that i can solely devote to them. I have never seen it but i have heard they will pick off small fish during the night time
