This is an albino N. ringneck and a normally colored sibling. These two were found inside my Superintendant of School's hunting cabin in the southern tier of NYS in the early fall.
Hello, I too keep native herps and live in N.E. Pa. I don't keep them like I used to, being preoccupied breeding chameleons anymore..however the small and less-paid attention to snakes have always held my interest. I've hatched out most of the native herps in my neck of the woods, some being bred, some being gravid when caught. One of my favorites native species to breed was the northern coal skink. I currently have a few ringnecks, and I run into more than I can count. I have a few humerous stories about them hatching out as well. I would be interested to speak with you about your experiences with them. I have never seen an albino specimen before, but am certainly impressed. My email contact is bigkid46@aol.com
Thanks a lot.
