This is a pic of me and my brother at Bob Clark's show in Arlington, Tx. (I'm on the right.) The giant retic is Bob's snake "Fluffy." She is an awesome sight to see!!!

Yes she is!! Bob Clark and Mike Wilbanks (constrictors.com) host a show every 3 months in Arlington Tx. They just started this. So far there have been 2 shows, and she has been at both. It is well worth going to the show, if for no other reason than to see her. Believe it or not, she was loaded and transported last time by 1 guy. He said it sucked.

Fluffy is 29ft long and 330lbs before feeding. Bob and Mike's show is a reptile show. It has various reptiles for sale direct from breeders like me. Each of us have a booth or 2, and we display what we have for sale. You can get all the info right there from whomever bred the animal, such as hatch date, feeding schedule, caging, etc. The first event had a nice turn out, but the last one was the day after Halloween, so it was a little slow starting, although it still drew a big crowd later. If you live in the area, I can get you info on the dates, times, location, etc of local DFW shows. Thanks for the inquiry.

i heard there's a reward for proof of a snake 30' or longer. have you ever heard about that?

Hatebreed rocks! Anyways, I have not heard about any rewards out there. That does not meen it doesn't exist. There is a snake in a private collection here in DFW that is getting close to pushing the 30' mark. It was on display at a local pet store for years and was approx 26' when the shop closed. It popped up at the local zoo for a short time, then was purchased buy a local hobbyist, and has not been seen since. I have heard of a few specimens that are over the 30' mark, but they are oversees, so I have no proof. I personally do not have anything near that. Most female retics, IMO, rarely reach much more than 20', and males rarely get over 15'. There was an article in Reptiles magazine last year about breeding retics. They were talking about sexing giant snakes. They stated, "If the retic is over 20' long, you are 99% sure it is a female. Males will almost never reach lengths over 20', and 16' is usually the maximum." If anyone has any giants in their collection, let's see them. POST POST POST!!! We want pics of giants!!!!!

ah, i just saw the program again today. it started at 5 grand, and was eventually pushed all the way up to 50k, but no one has ever collected. kinda makes owning a retic. a good idea ;)

Let me say, this is not my snake. This snake belongs to Bob Clark. He feeds her 4 - 20+lb rabbits. He said she has eaten pigs and goats before, but her normal diet is rabbits. She is a mammoth.

Hatebreed,
I think the reward your talking about is only for a WC 30' snake.

Thanks,
Ben

i just watched a show on animal planet about very large animals and they showed a very old retic over 35'. in a small third world zoo. i forgot the country(i think thailand) or the name of the shows, but it mainly featured old animals of species that never really quit growing.
