Good lookin tank. One thing though, mixing species of amphibians is not a good idea. They conatin toxins. Especially and that small of water area. Could make eachother sick and may die.

Yeah, I didn't think that it would be a problem mixing those species and they are all doing just dandy. Also, they were all collected in the same area so they were homies to start with =) and thanks for your concern about mixing species, but I made sure that they were alright to mix before I put them together.

No. Rough-skinned newts are poisonous. They will bend their head and tail up to show off their red/orange underside as a warning to preditors. There are many other reasons not to keep different species in one tank, have a look at www.amphibiancare.com/frogs/communitytank.html I think we spoke through email already, but once again that is a nice semi-aquatic terrarium. Well done.

Yeah, I know that they are poisonus, but they do just fine together. Besides they have been in that tank together for about a year now and nothing bad has happened. My newts have never shown any signs of agression towards my frogs nor my toad, so i'm not worried about them, besides newts only do that behavior you described when threatened, and personally, I don't think a frog the size of their head is going to scare them very much. Thanks for your concern though! =)
