Yeah,It is extremely hot at the moment and there is heaps of wildlife. You can just be walk near a forest or some bush and you will most likely hear or see a lizard or snake.

Bluetongue,

Nice lizards i keep Northerns and Centrals myself, as well as lots of Australian Venomous snakes (Taipans, Death Adders, Tigers, Browns, Blacks etc) a Freshie and Few Pythons and Tree Snakes. At any rate you posted awhile ago in venomous gallery about a forest Cobra, just quick note mate....inland Taipans are usually fairly quiet (evenly tempered) and no Australian elapid is aggresive..some are very defensive COASTAL Taipans and the Brown Snakes come to mind.

Be Safe

I agree, everyone accuses the elapids here as being agressive killing monster when there really not. Red belly black snakes have a terrible reputation and I always know when some dick says he got chased by one there bullshiting. Dont worry I never try to much with venom's becuase I know how fast they are so I just sorta practise with my sticks on them. Anyway have fun with your reptiles

"Newherpaddict" thanks for the advice, No they dont get along I have had them seperated for a good part of this year now becuase surpisingly but not surprisngly my blue-tongue was bullying the shingleback who is now huge compared to my blue-tongue. They got along for about 6 months without even a squabble but i suppose when they felt right at home they made territorys and then they started getting agro. Not many people want shinglebacks from what I have gathered but i think they are like minature dogs with scales, my shingleback actually licks my fingers after I feed him something juicy without trying to bite.

Tell You government to give up theirs at least you can acquire one if you look hard and have alot of money. There is no way I will ever get an Iguana or Chameleon no matter how hard I look or how much I pay. Anyway You guys have heaps of australian herps like bearded dragons and stuff, and yes it is an Eastern
