I have always wanted a kinkajou, but have been told they cost too much and they take up too much time (this was said by parents by the way). Do they make good pets?

They are expensive pets, but it well worth the money. They are more expensive than dogs but they also live longer. If you have the right kind of setup, they arent much work at all. And they make the best pets ever if raised from a baby of coarse. What you have to have is a kinkajou play room with a cage in the room or attached to the room so when it is woken up at night, it has a huge room to play in. What you can also do is convert a bedroom into a kinkajou cage. Just take everything breakable out and make shelves, branches, nest boxes and ropes in there.
