What's wrong with mortisha's chin?

Keywords: Mortish absess RES female mouth rot

I do not know how or when exactly this appeared but I do know it was over a long period of time (several weeks). She appears healthy aside from the obvious injury/absess. She's eating well and is bright eyed and active. I have a feeling it's some form of mouth rot but from all my research "mouth rot" usually apears inside the mouth not outside. Anybody have any thoughts as to what this could be and how to treat it?

I would start by keeping the water clean... Looks like the water is filthy there.

i agree with Chrysemys, but i looks your feeding her too much soft food, Feed her tough foods like live fish, cuttlebone and *Thick* Anacharis stems because they will mist likely help shorten her bill.

I dont think they were talking about the turtles beak, but that little circular outline on the left side of the turtles "chin." Personally I would not be concerned unless it starts to get bigger or starts to look infected, ect.
