Is there any way to get a better picture? It's really fuzzy, but it looks like an Iguana with MBD. The lower jaw area and hind legs seem to be very swollen, which are symptoms. It would help if there was a better picture.

What is MBD? You are correct about the jaw and legs being larger.

Sorry, Metabolic Bone Disease. Unfortunately, if it is not caught and taken care of quickly enough it can be fatal. Where did you acquire this lizard? I hope it was not from someone who was trying to be a wolf in sheeps clothing. Check out the link below. That is most definitly a green, or blue diamond iguana, with a heavy dose of MBD. That boy needs to be looked at very soon by a qualified vet, otherwise it will likely suffer for a short while longer and die. Poor lizard, and all because they are cheap and people are stupid.

I agree you cant go out and buy a lizard you dont know about especially an iguana. This is why people dump thses things because they get to big and people are dumb enough not to research it. Poor igs, if only the damn pet stores would tell people it would solve this problem!
