How old is it, what locality, and where did you get it? Thanks!

There are many different types of dwarfs. I wouldn't really consider that one a dwarf as it looks like a Bali yellowhead that can reach16ft. Other dwarfs can be smaller and never even reach 10ft. That is a beautiful snake! Looks cool since your kissing it~!!!

I know about the Jampea and Kayuadi locales. That one looks nothing like either. But some breeders are producing 50% dwarves by crossing the locales with normals. Just wondering..

Kaa just turned a year old this month and is four foot long. Kaa is a Bali, he's Captive bred/hatched and both his parents and grandparents didnt exceed 11 foot. Right now Kaa is kept in a 52"x24"x24" cage and is fed hop rats every 4-5 days.
Thanks

That is a beautiful Bali Retic. I have kept them myself. I'd like to inform you that they can get up to 16ft and I've heard of 20ft individuals. I've personally Kept a 5yr old 10 1/2ft male that came to me very skinny. I was told he was fed every 3 weeks in order to keep him smaller. Notah Howe's Bali Retic Adults are not C.B.B. They were orignially imports. If you take a look at all the Small imports comming in and then at the c.b.b. individuals you'll clearly see that the c.b.b. specimens are much larger then their w.c. counterparts. For Example Gravid Female Jampea's at 6-8ft. Nerd has a female approaching or may have already reached 15ft in length. Bali yellow heads are not dwarfs and should not be misnamed dwarfs. Bali is a heavily populated city in which large individuals are scarce! Why are they Scarce? Because all of the large ones are caught and skinned. This is why it's uncommon to find very large specimens in the wild of any species. It's also not exactly sanitary to kiss your retic. By the way a 4ft Retic could easily take a medium Rat.
