Is that fake rock? if so how was it made because it looks great!
Also how do you have the cacti planted? and what sand is that?

Wow I really like that rock. I have told myself that I was gonna make one time after time. I think its time! Is that made with a chunk of styro, or the stuff you spray out of a can. Also what kind of plaster did you use to cover it?

All, thanks for the comments - I am really happy with the overall effect, and its always nice to get some external validation ;-)

To answer your questions:

-All cacti are fake, and buried in the sand. (Purchased from pet-stores and craft/design stores)
-Sand is mixture of red, and natural sand repti-sand (I know not recommended, but I have never had any issues with impaction)
-Shape is made from layers of polystyrene/styrofoam glued together into a block and then carved out using a craft knife.
-I used sandstone colored tile grout to complete the rock look, and then painted various colors using the 'sponging' method) see my other photos for better idea of the overall effect.
