Most people wouldn't give as much TLC and work as u did. You handle on a daily basis to keep them tame, but others may only handle theirs 3times a week. Niles are for more experienced people like u who know what they are doing, and I think you are doing a great job! Good looking nile!

Thank you, My animals get alot of attention daily otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to handle the Beardies. Just my personal animals go over the 150 mark and all get the same attention. By the way this is my wife in the pic(Jade2u)

How did you do it? I'm looking at getting an ornate nile but I'm first looking into what I need to do and how to do it and so on. Thanks in advance,
John

Well John be prepared to be bitten a few times. bitting seems to be almost fun for any monitor. Just handle the animal daily and if you get bit don't give in and let it alone don't pull away or dump alcohol down it's throat. Just let it bit until it lets go, most of them(in my experience)tend to forget about bitting because it is no longer "fun" if they are not getting what they want by bitting then they will stop. Most behavior is learned.

i agree with the fact they seem to lose interest in biting and prefer to let loose with there tails, well mine does anyway and yeah i only handle her 3-5 times a week,so maybe if i put in more time she'd soon learn to love me eh:)

Thank you for taking the time to look. We have had Mason for only a year we handle him as often as possible.
