Keywords: pretty map turtle variety unknown

He is light colored (tan with a touch of green) with orange markings, including swirls on his shell. The head striping seems unusual, but I don't know much about these turtles.

Looking at WP Mara's book, Map Turtles and Diamond Back Terrapins the photo of a Cagle's map turtle on page 5 looks almost exactly like Pyrite, except that his markings are orange. Do Cagle's maps sometimes have orange markings?
