that's one pitiful monitor. I know that you rescued him, but how did he get in such bad shape to begin with? There has to be a lot of neglect and abuse to let an animal(monitor no less) get that bad. It's great to see that you are trying to fix up this bloke and get him back to health.. I wish you the best of luck.. How is he doing by the way, it's been a couple of weeks since you first posted pics of when you got him in??? Tata for now michelle,

Howdy boboroni!
Hes doing TONS better since Ive had him. Many people that saw him when he first arrived didnt think he was going to live. Hahahaha!! Well, now Im wondering if IM going to live!! Hahaha! Its definitely a completely different kind of animal than Im used to dealing with. Ive had juvies, but a 6'+ abused male croc, is NOTHING like any of those animals. I must be quite a site as I dance around the living room to avoid Mr crocky's love bites! Im really just glad that hes feeling better. My next hurdle is getting him settled in enough to eat. Im dont doubt that hes ready physically, but emotionally, hes got a ways to go.
All the best,
Michelle a.k.a. "evil croc killer"

Try to avoid being bit by him. Imagine sticking your hand in a jar of razors.
Be careful! TJ

This pic is a few months old. He was near death, and didnt even have enough energy to keep his mouth from falling limply open. I am aware though of their bite! Hahahaha. Ive had the stitches to prove it! Im the kind of dorkus that always must learn by trial and error...
