boring but i'M making a new tank. The sand will be going and i'll be using slate and I'll add a planr and a couple fake plants. This tank is 30 gallons.
i want to comment on this photo but hope you don't take it the wrong way.
leopard geckos do not live on sand and the red light is actually bad for them.
you might think about having more stones, large rocks and use an under-the-tank heater instead of the bulb. it's been proven that red upsets them in ways we don't know about. I have a photo of my leopard tank if you want to see it.

First..leopsrd geckos shouldnt be housed on any loose substrate..second.they cannot see the red light, red and blue bulbs are probably the best to use for nocturnal species the tank looks fine although i would add more hide spots and a humidity hide to aid in shedding

Why is a red bulb bad? I use them all the time for nocturnal species. I see nothing wrong with them.

I use a red bulb 24/7 in my leos cage. I have gotten 3 eggs so far, 2 of them good, and hopefully they will hatch:-) If u use a red bulb then video cam it at night, the video doesn't come up as a red bulb but as a normal bulb it is white light I thought that was kool. Leos do live on sand in the wild, but it is more like sand stone since it is packed down and hard, not like the dune sand. i have thought about taking play sand and making it wet and packing it down, but paper towels work great so i have no need to try something.
