when this iguana was a baby he looked just like the rest of the babys, bright green. the others, which were all the same size as him, are all about 2ft. long, but he is only about 15in. (due to a once broken tail, but now grown back) and he is very dark. I have no idea what type he is, so if you can give me any information on him it would be most appriciated.
thanks
He's obviesly a green iguana, but he looks different from the others. Do you give him enough vitamins? His lower jaw looks a bit long. Try give him much vitamins everytime you feed him (use vitamins that has a special mixture to give back the lost colors on reptiles), and wait a couple of months to see what happens. If he doesn't change color, go to a vet. I doubt that the jaw will get to look normal again, but he looks well fed, so I think he has a good chance of returning his colors. Good luck with it.
PS: you really have a nice collection of beautiful reptiles ;)

thanks, I think you are right, when he was really small he didn't get enough vitamins, although the other four Iguanas got the same amount of everything as he did. someone told me it could be a regional phase, like iguanas from Peru are different than the ones in Central America. but the others are already almost 2ft long and he is dwarfed, although he eates more than some of the others.
thanks for your reply.
