Albino or otherwise genetically mutated snakes are not protected by state or federal law.

Never said they where. In the state it was caught, it is illegal to breed a snake that you caught, and make a profit (something like that anyway).

if you get a permit you are allowed to breed wild caught snakes. i know a guy who breeds wildcaught kingsnakes and i thought that was illegal too and when i asked him he told me he got a permit to breed them

ok so my main question is....what did the state or fish & game or whoever do with the snakes that they confiscated?

No clue. When I emailed BHB about it, they said they where taken. So I asked if he knew what happened to them, and I never got a response.
