In this photo, i has the waterfall turned off. i wanted to show the rocks details better from further back. I have it run once a day for thrity minutes and the water is filter with plants in the sump. the whole viv is sprayed with a frog safe probiotic the help with the waste and nitrogene cycle and peat-water to help the moss grow.

Thnx!
i'm looking for a small terrestrial salamander. the stream is cooled when needed...but if not, bumble bee frogs. they're nice and small and the tank is 20x20, i have more photos if interested.

you should look into marbled or fire salamanders and then maybe add some type of tree frog in to use th whole tank.

marbed and fires are cool! they like to hid and the only thing to hide under is the flora, no hides. i am looking for either a small slender or something exotic like the Ensatina, or plethodon..but if i could find some bolitoglossa i'd be very happy. the large sali's would destroy the viv as the smaller one like i mentioned, would be okay in there.

i have afree 100 gallon acrily from a client that might work the marbled or fires if you want it...

Hi, this is a gorgeous setup. I was wondering what type of moss you used? I have had dreadful luck with moss. The only one ive been successful with was java moss, but that was in a bog tank with several tiny water features to keep it damp. I am setting up a mantella tank in the near future and I love the concept of this one, the simplicity... but it wont work without the excessive moss.. I saw that you had more pictures as well. . I would love to see them. I tried to look at your photo gallery but it keeps redirecting me to the beginning of the members gallery..

Oh! and I almost forgot.. What is the background? it looks almost like lace rock, but its hard to tell from the photo.. And finally, what kind of false bottom was used?

If you have the time and feel like rambling about the construction, email me: madgirls_lovesong@hotmail.com

this is one of my favorites thus far on kingsnake, would love to learn the techniques you used..

Thanks, Dana
