Thanks! He's my baby still at only 7 months old! Getting him that big is costing me some major $$$ though..but I don't mind. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll make it to 5' (wishful thinking)

Sounds like he didn't hibernate this year! I have a B&W Argentine that's 9 months old, 45 inches long, and 11 pounds. I also have a year-and-a-half-old red tegu, but he's only 34 inches long. He was starved by his previous owner and was only hatchling size when I got him last August, so I guess 34 inches isn't too bad for him!

Nope, no hibernation. It's no fun having pets if you only see them for 6 months out of the year ;) To tell you the truth, neither of them has ever tried to hibernate. I keep the cage warm and have 13.5 hours of light a day for them. I remember seeing your postings about that poor little red tegu. I'm glad to see he's doing better!
