Hey BMX. Thanks for the compliments. She is around 3' or so right now, give or take a few inches. That is a mouse she has there. For some reason, she has absolutely no interest in rats at all. My female juvenile taipan is the same way...both with have insane feeding responces at mice, but not rats. Next time I feed the retic I'll give her a small mouse and have a rat in waiting to throw at her and see if she'll take it, maybe in a feeding frenzy or whatever. You wouldn't know it, but maybe only a month or month and a half ago this snake was on the brink of death. She was showing neuro problems, had mites, scarring, extreme mouth rot, and was dehydrated and emaciated. All of those conditions, by the way, happened within the time span of about a week and a half. After a very aggressive treatment of baytril, within a week all the really bad things had disappeared. She shed, and looked perfect again. She's still a little too thin for my tastes, but has been feeding heavily ever sense to get her body weight back on. In late January she actually weighed less than she did in late November (!!!). I've got to hand it to Mike Wilbanks though, who is where I got this little beauty, if it hadn't been for his advice on the best course of treatment, she probably wouldn't have made it. Anyway, thanks again for the compliments.

Well good luck with her! I hope you can get her to eat better on rats soon. It's amazing how you saved her with all those problems. Oh, and the taipan is killer! Literally!LOL
Good luck with them!
